  1. This was a recent book that had fave reviews about a man who is washed up in Spain thinking he is Christopher Columbus. There is a lot of talk about male arousal and we keep going back in time but it is poor and hard to get into, it is a page turner but cos u have to turn back a few pages to get the gist. I will finish it even just to give a poor review.
  2. The book IT by Stephen King, I loved it but was blimming scarey

  6. Have you read anymore? My grand daughter loves Tracy Beaker and all Wilsons books. My faves were Enid Blyton but I am much older than you.
  7. I am 170 pages into Patricia Cornwell's Unnatural Exposure. Her 8th Scarpetta novel. This amuses me as Cornwell describes the new Email and internet facilities and how an image builds down the screen. How the hell Lucy keeps her job I don't know as she is a bit amateur sometimes.Ring an FBI investogater has the hots for Lucy but he does seem a bit pervy. The books is a great thriller and at last we see Dr Kay has a personal side and sleeps with her new lover. This is my third book this week but the 1st Scarpetta I have read for a long time and I am really enjoying it. I have one more Scarpetta after this one but may read it last in my TBR for next week.

  11. Robert Mc Gammon is very good. His books are not trilogies and I would start reading Swan Song about a young maturing girl during a nuclear war. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swan-Song-Robert-McCammon/dp/1439156735/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1275414011&sr=8-1

  16. Just read a very moving and often black humoured book about the Blitz in London on 10th and 11th May 1941. Stories of how when Spitfire pilots shot down a German bomber that when he buzzed the fallen crew gave him the V sign so he rounded back and strafed them with gunfire and "blew them to bits" The woman who was blown into a house wall and other nasties. In the aftermath the middle classes came to "Rubber neck" and the looting that night was terrible. It was un-put downable
