  1. I like Adrian Monk Tony Shalhoub is by far one of the best actors from America!
  2. Thanks Jewell I had to show off my cats!

  3. I am a washed up drunk failed detective trying to work out how a gigantic firebreathing Dragon can appear out of nowhere and vanish without leaving so much as a shed scale. I am also surprised to find myself liking a large no nonsense woman from the upper classes.
  4. ooohhh you should read Discworld series. My favourites are Wyrd Sisters, Moving Pictures, Thud! and Truth.
  5. Reading obviously! Writing, cooking, and knitting. Would be walking but don't have a dog and don't have any motivation really to go outside!
  6. Better than I have been, writing and laundry today.

  7. I had meatballs in a tomato vegetable sauce and pasta - I think tagliatelli!
  8. My favourite fictional villains. Count Dracula - he is awfully wicked! Fagin - Oliver Twist (he is the true villain as he is the one that trains boys to steal and has young girls as prostitutes, Nancy was one of his girls before she lived with Bill Sykes! Also he almost encourages Bill to kill Nancy just to protect himself!) Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix LeStrange, Voldemort - I really love to read these characters. Bellatrix particularly. She's crazy! The White Witch - Delightfully evil. Torak - David Eddings, the evil God in Belgariad series. Sexy and evil! Grima Wormtongue, Saruman, Denethor - I am surprised this trio hasn't been mentioned. I find Grima particularly fascinating! Oh and I love one of my own created Villains but wish not to name him ... lol!
  9. I am reading a book I already know but my mojo seemed to have gone AWOL. Even my writing mojo and cooking mojo - in fact my imagination seems to have left me!
  10. No you didn't Paula. He died peacefully at home - didn't even want us to pay a vets bill. Still, I wish we could have another one but can't afford it.

  11. I haven't read any of them but if they are what I think they are then Wexford are the ones I would buy as I remember watching them on television. The woman that played his wife in the drama was also his real life wife. But judging by another's comment Summer Reads are the way to go if you don't want to be stuck with a set of books you don't want ... Of course if you do go for Wexford and find out you don't like them ... I'm sure we can negotiate something!! Joking!
  12. Sadly Gyre that dog has now passed away.

The cats are cute aren't they. The ginger one is massive now - the photo in my background was taken months ago.

  13. Don't you dare tell me offers like that, Loopyloo100. I can't afford it and temptation is soo hard to resist!
  14. I see you are reading In The Name of the Wind. I am too but I am only picking it up when I can engross myself completely in the plot as I find it too readable! What other fantasy do you love - and crime and thrillers? I am writing a crime/thriller tinged with a hint of true horror. Glad you managed to get back here.
  15. I've been reading his memoirs. I must get this if it is still available! Eleanor Rigby happens to be one of the few Beatles songs I love!
  16. Chicken Curry, Vegetable Stirfry and Rice.
  17. I am a young literal thinking man raised by dwarves off to the big city seeking his fortune doing an honest job as a member of the city watch. Lately he's just been told he is a human and has to live amongst his own kind. So he is also confused.
  18. How long has it been on your tbr pile, Ben?
  19. To the fourm Shin. Hope you have fun!
  20. This is where the dragons went. Guards! Guards! Terry Pratchett
  21. Season Five is out on DVD here in England. Does that mean we're going to get Season Six on television soon? I can't wait to find out what happens next. Poor Gibbs!
  22. I am re-reading Guards! Guards! - Terry Pratchett. In weather like this I find the only thing I can read is Terry Pratchett. Light, enjoyable and know them already so don't have to think too much.
  23. Lush and comfortable. Perfect holiday for an agoraphobic ... at least I can say I read in New York! I've reached my 500TH POST!!!!! Woo hoo!
