Just thought I'd better let you know that I haven't forgot about your quest for writingness. I've been super busy finishing my dissertation, but now I'm free of it and will get those thoughts emailed over to you asap (probably tomorrow if that's ok?)

Well I've been super busy with uni work recently, however I have managed to squeeze a few books in. I finished Neil Gaiman's Graveyard Book and thoroughly enjoyed it I'm almost finished The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks but can only manage a few pages at a time as it's so romantically sad. Brilliant book!

Haaa! Things are canny. I'm on the last leg of my dissertation and I must say, it's looking ok. My dissertation tutor (she's a professor called Jean Hillier and she conducts research on things that I can't even pronounce!!) says she was impressed by my draft. She's my idol (I get star struck by her!!!
) so for her to say she was impressed was like David Bowie telling a budding songwriter that he enjoyed his verse Apart from that I've just been eating, sleeping and getting wobbly through a lack of exercise
What about you? 'How's' everything going in your neck of the woods?

I know exactly what you mean by nothing much going on, yet everything felt rushed. The story was just a bit thin for my liking, with no depth at all. Although I quite liked Damon, the other characters weren't strong enough.

I think Peacefield just hit the nail on the head here.....Colonel Brandon! Drool! You could probably get a deal with Heat magazine! Sell your story, become famous yourself, head to rehab for an out of control literature habit, sell that story, head back to rehab after a 3 day bender in Waterstones.....sell that story, and so on Now that's something to aspire to eh?!
