  1. New Moon seems to be peoples least fav? If this is so, Im looking forward to the rest as im on New Moon just now and cant stop reading, this is crazy!
  2. Hi everyone, I was hoping to publish the results straight from the survey site in order to create a link but I've been trying for ages and I just can't figure it out. If anyone however would still like to know the results, feel free to message me with your email address and I will send them, along with initial analysis by word document. Thanks again everyone for filling out the survey and also for your comments and advice :-)
  3. At last I've finished Uni, and finally had time to get tucked into Twilight. I really wanted to see what all this fuss is about and to read the book before seeing the movie, so much better that way! And I loved it! Hope the film is not a let down... Debating with myself right now whether I should go and read them all, hmm...
  4. Hope you don't mind if I add this in as a quote in my dissertation, just as an example of criticism as one of the novels I am writing about is Jemima J.
  5. Glad to hear you're you're settled in well!

this is Alan carr on my Av as I'm a huge fan of his I've met him

  6. Hi everyone, Just to let you know the survey is now closed. I now have enough responses for a good valid analysis to be carried out. I'd just like to thank you all once again for taking the time to fill out this survey, it really has been appreciated and I've loved finding out what you all have to say. I will post the results up as soon as I can, but this may take a while, so please be patient with me. Again, thank you :-)
  7. Yes I am thank you, fellow scottish girl, I love this site :-)

  8. y I def agree with this bit, it seems far too easy and slightly partonising, but I still enjoyed the book. I found it inspirational (not that I think you can lose that much weight in a short time and be in perfect shape) but because you can lose weight over time and it is possible to ahcieve a goal of that kind. Also, not because being thin equals success, but more at feeling happy and healthy within your own body. But if success means confidence, then I do feel losing weight can bring that to a person.
  9. :welcomeboard: I hope you're settling in ok?

    I'm alison!

  10. I had every intention of letting everyone see the results. I cannot right at this particular moment as the surveys are still open and it is important that the answers are not encouraged in any way by other peoples answers. It is about finding out and reflecting individual opinion and I have to state this clearly in my research. But thanks for making me feel so welcome. I'm not sure how that statement was meant, but I'd just like to offer my sincere thanks to everyone for their time and kindness, it really is appreciated :-)
  11. Hi, thanks for letting me know about this. I was actually sent the radio transcript by someone on Marian's 'team', but I wasnt told where and when the interview took place, so now I know it was on Radio 2 with Cluadia I can reference it properly, thanks again
  12. I just finished reading Rachel's Holiday, it took me a while to get into it but I am surprised at how much I liked it, looks like theres going to be a lot more Marian Keyes reading for me in the future. 'This Charming Man' sounds good, but I think I am persuaded aswell by the Smiths title, haha. I hear a cover version of the song is to be released to tie in with this book? V V Brown is it?
  13. Yes sure, I can't at the moment though but I will be able to make them available in the near future :-) PS - The responses I've had so far have been great and really encouraging (apart from one sick little pervert, theres always one!) I just want to thank everyone who has filled it in so far, and keep em coming...
  14. I guess it is pretty hard to choose when you like it and love it at the same time. But yes, it would make it void if you were to do both. Maybe I should have created a third survey for those in the middle, haha. Just try and think which percentage is highest in terms of like and dislike - is it really 50/50 or maybe 49/51, the good outweighing the bad, or vice versa...
  15. Ha, brilliant. I'm sure that is the copy of it that I have. It's all coming back now. I hope it's still in good condition :-) Not that I would sell it or anything...
