  1. What you are going to be a RCMP, how charming and cool.

Me,I had two of the mounties crush on me but they scared me. I am too shy for mounties I think. My girl friend's brother is in the RCMP, quite high up now I believe.

You will have to work very hard mon ami, but how wonderful if you make it. And oui, Dudley is perfect for that!

Koo rookookookookookookoo, or well a reasonable facsimile.

You know Adam, I don't really drink alcohol, but once I used to drink a nice beer now and then eh until I saw the skit with the mouse that everyone else knew for years but me. I have never been the same since! What a backward bunch of hoseheads they must think are dear Canadians non?

Oh did you watch Strange Brew, me I am looking still for that one for my brother.

  2. Ah Adam , how funny are your pictures. The other, that was Dudley Doright or something? I am surprised oui, that you do not have my favorites, Bob and Doug MacKenzie on your avy once in a while. I gave a family member their 24th anniversary DVD and he was laughing day and night for two weeks. It got on my nerves.

But anyway, good day eh? :)

  3. Darling Adam, you are from Alberta and you are cheering the Canadiens eh? To me that is very funny oui, and unexpected. Me, I look at the cover, how old it is, that is , when the book was first written, and the country. If it is Russian or Nordic, Celtic or whatever I will usually read the work , even if I do not know it. Now much with modern writers unless I am hearing good things from those I think are a little like me in taste.
  4. The ancient Celtic folk tale The children of Lir just broke my heart, oui,and I felt so sad for a long time after. Peter E. Beresford is amazing at translating and retaining the true feelings. wonderful
  5. Bonjour little one, and how are you eh? as beautiful inside as outside I am sure.

I have been needing the tissue oui, when I read your kind words to others on the debate forum. Bon! you are wonderful and much needed over there. Keep up your good work. merci, merci.

    hugs to you.

  6. Darling Gyre, you are so wonderful, that I mean from my heart. You are rich in compassion and understanding, your words are so beautiful to my soul and I have learned a great deal from you, oui, I have tucked them into my heart to take out again and again and listen to. Merci dear one.

  7. Salut Jersey! how are you doing these days eh?

Our temperary priest just left us today. He is teaching at Seaton Hall University over there in Jersey and I am thinking he said he writes a newsletter for G.K. Chesterton society. He is marvellous and nearing six foot five, a gentle giant.

Are you getting in any good reading time , I am sure your life must be so very busy eh?

well, have a lovely day and take care of yourself.

  8. ah dear one, whenever I visit this page , me I think I am at home and I love to linger and look at everything. I hope you are dong well and are enjoying some good weather.

A hug to you and here , a little cake I made-I am baking today. So eat it, it is really yummy(forgive the bragging) with my best regards. :)

  9. salut our little sweetheart, and how are you doing these days? Are you getting at least here and there some peace and enjoyment and freedom from 'the bad guys of life eh?

You are much in my heart and when I think of you of course I must smile. It is so good to have you in this world cheri. hugs.

  10. Thistle Do mon ami,

I am so frustrated, I asked for help in fixing your request-absolutely nothing happens when I write your name and press friend. They cannot help me, something is a glitch.

But with your permission, I will be friend and feel honored to talk to you.

Have a perfect day, full of peace and joy and laughter, and a hug to you.

  11. I lived in Calgary for a while, oui, and it was beautiful. And some adopted relatives , they ran in the chuck wagon races and rode the horses and all that. But it was breaking my heart, I cannot stand anything that looks unkind to the animals. I have been known to hide my cousins' heifers that they were taking for auction . And once, after a chicken was killed for lunch I called it by name and had to go sit in the bedroom for discipline since noone then wanted to eat Ralph. :). the joke was on me though , because years later the doctor said I must eat at least chicken and fish to correct a blood disorder. Still I had a lot of fun there. You sound like a good and nice country boy, like many that I met at the barn dances and picnics, or the soft ball games. I am glad to know you.

  12. I did not know where to ask, so I will try here. Has anyone any idea where I could find an online translation, or even a sample of the Brothers Kamazarov by Doevstoyosky translated from the Russian to GERMAN? Me, I am exhausted searching on the net and have found nothing so far. And yet I am sure the book has been translated into many other languages other than English or French. Any help would be so gratefully recieved. Merci for you time.
  13. Bonjour Adam,

I smiled at your description of the dirt road and the pick up truck.

I had adopted relatives at Hussar, well somewhere between Dellum and Hussar, or something like that and I visited them and ah me, the long space between farms! And it is sad but if you have to go to the bathroom , first you must find the tree!

I spent a lot of time talking to the cows and licking salt lick, I am thinking I was addicted to salt then. I rode the horses and could not walk for a week, and I attended on a chuck wagon trip, ( I only wanted to go home and bathe).

But I do remember going for a long walk on a dirt road with my cousins and then we met someone at a house and then we went right into Drumheller,it was so, so, so , country!

Beautiful and charming, but I had to go home and shower and look at the lights of the city for two weeks to make sure I was really back at home!

  14. Bonjour, and merci,

Oh but I love your signature, what a thing to meditate upon oui?

I trust you are having a good summer, oui, and finding out a little more about yourself.

When I go for walks alone and I look at the hills and the trees, so quiet and yet saying so much I think about life and by the time I am again in my little home I have found out something, however great or small about me and those I love. It helps to complete the puzzle and I am at peae and happy.

I see you have darling Heather and Ceinwenn, Mac and little Nici here too. No wonder the atmosphere is sweet.

  15. Cheri,

I tried to add you as friend, but something went wrong, I did it three times, oui, and nothing, so I will ask you, okay? Hugs and have a beautiful day.

  16. Bonjour mon ami, I am fine, thank you for asking. Me, I am very busy working on illustrations for a couple of children's books and I am getting fed up! You know how it is, you have an idea, oui, but perfecting it on paper is harder than thinking it up!

I hope this day finds you so very happy and at peace. hugs

  17. bonjour, and how are you doing these days, bringing smiles to the world and dressing very posh eh?

I just wanted to drop in and say onjour and I hope you are very well and happy.

  18. How charming about you talking to your dear cats and they talk back! That is wonderful and I believe it. I have tried having a few to tea, oui,but they are quite stuck up and fussy and tend to leave as soon as they have eaten and drunk their fill. Then me, I am left with the little one's dolls and her two cardboard dogs which are always barking!

I look forward to reading many more of your inventive and interesting posts.

  19. Bonjour again Christie, I hope your summer is going as you wish and you are getting rest and having some lovely times. Know you are on my mind and in my heart.

  20. you know, since I read the story , the biography about the sisters and their brother, and mostly about their father, I have not felt the same about the girl's work. To know the horror of their true lives, the insanity and despair of it, to see each one's life ebb away and end because of the ugliness of the times and the unyielding behaviour of papa almost caused me to feel a break down coming to me from just being in their world for that week. ah me, it was terrible!
  21. And hello to you too dear one. I am well and restless and sleepy and who knows why eh? I am sending you a wish come true, it is not my own to give but I caught it and am sending it on to you. Have a beautiful day, night , I cannot remember! hugs.

  22. Darling Nici, how much you have been on my mind.

So I had to come and visit you and give you a hug and tell you I miss you oui, and hope that things are going well for you?

What have you been up to that Genevieve should know about eh? :)

Well, it is bed time for me and so I will say good night mon ami and take care of your sweet self.

  23. I found your comment concerning talking to yourself very intriguing. And I just read your biography, truly you ARE a biography waiting to be written , oui?

Any way have a good day and I am looking forward to reading more of your comments.

  24. you know Mac, when you wrote hellooooooooo, immediately I was seeing Coronation Street and a fussy man or two who was having tea with the girls! It made me smile and I hope your heart is filled with smiles today. And hello to you too ii down there.

  25. Oh how charming and faerie like many of your pictures are, quite enchanting, my little masked friend. :)

He is so dear and well, he makes me want to write a story just for him eh?

hugs to you, have a wonderful day and remember how very precious and unique you are, no one like our dear girl, no not one.
