  2. Hi Luthien,I bought Odd Thomas last week and its on my TBR shelf, based on the reviews over on amazon it should be a good read.If thats the case I will be getting the next one in the series. Thanks also for those suggestions, will check them out and maybe pop them on my amazon wish list.Forgot to mention needful things is one of my top 3 king novels and I have read them all barring full dark no stars(this too is on my TBR shelf)
  3. Thanks for the info Charm,I had heard of the bond novel but not a movie fan really but from what I have heard the bond novels are nothing like the movies anyway so may read one or two in the future.
  4. Hi Frankie, bone collector is my first deaver read and I have the next two in the series, coffin dancer and empty chair on the TBR pile...can't wait to read them and then buy the next few in the series, thanks for the input frankie
  5. Started bone collector yesterday, already 290 pages in,I could not put it down last night and was reading till past 3am. Paying the price now as I'm feeling very groggy.
  6. Hi Mazzie, just checked my shelves as I though I had some lovecraft somewhere but only found an edgar allen poe book, will checkout lovecraft certainly. Thanks for the suggestion mazzie
  7. Thanks Stephen,I will check that series out, started bone collector last night and I have a feeling I'm gonna love it Glad your enjoying heart shaped box,I thought it was brilliant and didnt come across as 'American'unlike stephen kings books if that makes sense?
  8. Finished swan song today and loved it,a really great book and for its size it never dragged at all,I didnt want it to end.Now have the choice of dean koontz odd thomas or American Psycho and I can't make my mind up.Advise me please as I hate flippin coins It just got harder to choose, seen Jeffery Deavers Bone Collector in my TBR pile, choices so many choices

  11. I might try this,my copy of The Stand complete and uncut edition is showing signs of discoloration.I will start this process tonight and let you all know how it works out, sometime around 2019
  12. Continuing to read Robert Mccammon's swan song and am about 3/4 through and its superb up to now, will likely finnish is tonight and then its onto jeffery deavers bone collector
  13. Its just your internal voice sounding the words out as you read them, some mumble and mover their lips, others like me are silent but you still here your own voice in your head....probably a rubbish description that lol

Congrats, Cadel! We're all proud as punch over here. :)

  15. The more replies I see I'm starting to realize that although it makes me a slower reader I'm beginning to appreciate the fact that I do subvocalize
  16. Hi Ian,I don't mumble its just a voice in my head narrating as I read the words, not always my own voice either which is weird, then I'm 36yo and a pipe smoker for last ten years so I'm perhaps a little off the beam so to speak
  17. ITT in the tour today, now that berties out of it(cries)gonna be rooting for cadel evans,he's raced hard all the way and deserves the yellow jersey riding into paris

  19. A relief is an understatement, very happy now, will finish swan song which is great so far and then onto the lincoln rhymes books which are new for me but very much looking forward to them
  20. Sye,read this back in may/june and loved it.Been a king fan for years and read all his books(apart from full dark no stars, came this morning yippee). Under the dome was like being transported back to King's early works in the way it was written. The book though a long one never got draggy for me and I blazed through it.Try it I'm sure your gonna love it
  21. Stage 19 last day in the mountains, galibier, telegraph and Alp d'huez, should be another great day......

      Kylie

    3. pickle

      pickle

I admit it was a great victory for Andy but he and his brother are just so ungracious so now I am rooting for Evans to get through and win it. Alberto I think its just not his Tour.

    4. Kylie

      Kylie

Contador has had his turn. Go Evans!
