  1. Then there is going to be some serious trouble as far as mathematics are concerned. What if people could fly?
  2. The Virgin Suicides. It was pretty good, but I expected something more.
  3. Capitalism: a Love Story, good but my least favorite of Moore's and Some Like It Hot, which was very funny.
  4. Fantastic Mr. Fox. It was what the title suggests.
  5. A generally accepted theory is not necessarily correct. Everyone finds his own meanings in books and has his own interpretations. Now, if you didn't get it AT ALL, it's different. But sometimes I think that people are over-analyzing things when there may be no hidden message.
  6. Tron. I can't wait for the sequel!
  7. I finished Martin Eden yesterday afternoon and now I'll wait till Monday to buy and start reading Dune.
  8. I'm in the middle of Martin Eden. I have mixed feelings so far.
  9. Here's the sad thing: As far as I can remember, all the films had amazing trailers. So every time, I was like:this time they got it right! But nope. The only really good adaptations were 1 & 2 as far as I can recall. Because from then on, the scripts were NOT good. They ended up confusing actually for those not familiar with the books. And the fact that part 7 is, too, directed by David Yates, doesn't help much. If I'm eager to watch it? Yes. If I think it will please me? Not so sure.

  11. What did you think of DOS? It's my favorite 2009 film so far. Donnie Darko was the last DVD I watched, superb film.
  12. I didn't mean people who are sensitive. I get that. I'm talking about the kind of people who protest over a book like The Bermudez Triangle. I'm well aware of the fact that some people can't handle graphic drug use etc. but you can't stop everyone from reading something that makes you feel uncomfortable. That's my point.
  13. Faraway, So Close! Absolutely wonderful
  14. As a teenager myself, I find the idea of censoring books because of such subjects ridiculous. To begin with, as it has been mentioned above, sex, drugs and violence are everywhere, therefore being a teenager of a west civilization is a bit rare. These protests come from narrow-minded people who don't know what's going on around them most of the time, f.e. parents afraid of discussing sexuality when their kid may have already had sex. (this sentence may be a little disorganized, I hope it makes sense) Besides, personally I do some research and if a book I'm interested in contains themes I don't feel comfortable with, I'm not going to read it. F.e., I'm interested in reading The Lovely Bones, but I don't think I'm yet ready to read a graphic scene of rape.
  15. I'm up there with you! This is going to be totally AWESOME!
  16. Gee, why not? The living room is so dull
  17. Sometimes, the changes from the book can be for the better. For instance, in Pride & Prejudice
