  1. I was on holiday with my wife when I suddenly ran out of books So what I did was read the one that she had already finished which happened to be the Chocolate Lover's Club (her friends had given her a chocolate gift basket for her previous birthday also containing the book, which I thought was a pretty sweet idea) Well, what should I say it was...different to the books I read normally I would say , but I'd say it was a fun read especially because it was so different from what I am used to normally. I would definitely recommend it to women, to men I am not sure.
  2. I like Hornby's older works so I also went to the bookstore to get this one, but to be honest I didn't really like it too much and I guess I will think twice if I will get his next book. Somehow they way he writes doesn't seems to capture me as much anymore as it used to!
  3. There are several - but I really enjoyed Henning Mankell's books so much that I read some of them twice.
  4. An all time classic that everyone should read at least once! What a fascinating story!
  5. A total waste of time????? Can't believe that! I loved the book. I already read it some time ago and was fascinated. Firstly the way smells are described in the book is fantastic - I don't think any book as managed to bring that to life as good as this one. Second I think it is important that no empathy but also no hatred is created towards Jean Baptist - his history made him what he is, so he can't be blamed for that, but on the other hand he goes about the murders with the innocence of a child making you feel that what he is doing isn't in fact as bad. I agree the book is bizarre - but it is definitely something different and that is why I enjoyed it so much!
  6. My favourite bookmark is the one my niece gave me as a gift from Australia where she spent a year. It has my name on it an a kangaroo! Might seem childish! But I love it!
  7. I usually read on my way to work and in the evening after dinner. The evening is my favorite time to read as I can really relax then!
