  1. I was born in Zimbabwe and moved to England when I was 5 years old. My dad was England and his family had moved to Zimbabwe when he was a young boy. Most of the rest of my family still live in Zimbabwe
  2. I still have this book to read, I'm really looking forward to it!
  3. I've nearly finished it (madly busy at the moment though sorry) so will hopefully get my review up soon!
  4. Hmm, I had just got to the lead up of the Nertherfield Ball, perhaps I should get it out of the library again and give it another go from where I left off! Thanks for the advice Janet
  5. Hehe that is a very good point! No wonder New Year's always feels like such an anticlimax, I jump the gun a little too early!!
  6. It wasn't the style or the writing I struggled with, rather the fact that it didn't really grip me or make me feel like I wanted to keep reading the story. I persevered through about the first 100 odd pages but eventually I just got bored of reading it. Then I had to take it back to the library as it had been reserved. I feel bad that I haven't finished it though. I might give it another go soon. Have you read it? What were your thoughts?
  7. Hi there! :006: Just passing and thought I'd say hello. See you've redecorated ;) Love what you've done to the place :smile2: Hope you're settling in well. :D

  8. Hey! Welcome to the Forum! I see that you are from Sussex too, cool! xx

  9. Thank you Tiger, I am glad I found BCF! :)

  10. Thanks for your review Katie It's inspired me to give it a go, I'm going to pop to the library in my lunch to pick up a copy
  11. Hi everyone, thanks for the lovely welcome
  12. I've recently joined the library as its very near to where I work, in fact thats what got me back into books in a big way! I'm a convert! I usually buy books for charity shops or, if I'm after something specific, from Amazon otherwise
  13. I've been hunting around for a bookmark that I'll cherish, I'm useless at keeping hold of them usually. I currently have one that I got from a souvenir shop in Greece earlier this year
