  1. Has anyone read any books from Patrick O'Brian's (Aubrey-Maturin) series? Any input about the books, I watched Master and Commander last night and it peaked my interest.
  2. From Good to Great by Jim Collins I've read it twice and have listened to it on CD once. I apply it more for work, but it's still a great read! I also read the Vincent Price biography written by his Daughter Victoria Price, twice. Such an incredible story about such an incredible man, who lived his life to its absolute fullest. And for those who like well written books, Victoria Price has a masters in English. ________________________________________________ Those who limit their intrests limit their lives -- Vincent Price
  3. Thanks for the replies, I ordered both titles from everyman's Library, but I will begin with Portrait of a Lady.
  4. thank you all for your kind greetings.

I just have to say I started reading the classics a few months ago and I will say there is nothing like reading 19th century literature. It's like opening a new world to me. There are so many great authors, books from that century, that we if we desire will never have to touch another. I know that EM Forster is early twentieth but not far off. I'm just finishing Howards End and it makes me a little sad that it's ending.
  6. Hi Awoolford, and :welcomebcf:

  7. The end is nearing on my latest read, E.M Forsters Howards End. I just wish that it would never end, but like all good books.... So I'm debating as to what I will read next: I have "Portrait of a Lady, Henry James." Or "Nostromo, Joseph Conrad." Any input is welcome?
  8. Top three classics hey, well since I have just begun reading the classics I have very few to choose from. A Passage to India Oliver Twist Typhoon - Conrad Joseph
