  1. I love Misery, a really great book. So much suspense with so little protagonists and limited setting. How did you like it? I thought the first half was boring and I almost gave up and dnf-ed it, but then it got really good and suspenseful.
  2. Since I had quite a long Christmas vacation, I've already watched a few films this year. Two Night Stand (meh, nothing special) Catch and release (sad, lovely, Silent Bob was good) Interstellar (oh boy, I hated that one, so freaking boring and plain weird) The Martian (really liked that one, funny, interesting, suspenseful)
  3. I'm re-watching Friends and finished Grimm. Hubby and I have also started a japanese drama, but I can't remember the title at the moment.
  4. 'Tis the season to watch the Harry Potter movies again, started yesterday with the first
  5. 49 so far, one book left to reach my Goodreads goal for the year. Though I've changed the original goal from 70 to 50 midway through the year. Too many slumps...
  6. I have this on my tbr, and I already read the first 100 pages or so a few years ago. I remember that I really liked it, but I don't remember why I stopped reading. And now I'm intimidated by it's size (and of the following books in the series)
  7. Oh yes, they're a lot of fun. I think The upside... is my favourite. I can also highly recommend The rest of us just live here by Patrick Ness and Every Day by David Levithan
  8. finished Every Day by David Levithan yesterday (loved it, definately want to read the rest of the series) and started Leah on the off beat by Becky Albertalli today (my third Albertalli this month )
  9. I'm participating in a yearlong tbr challenge on Goodreads, where each month has a different theme. This month we read books with lgbt characters. So far I've read: Simon vs the homosapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli The upside of unrequited by Becky Albertalli The rest of us just live here by Patrick Ness Every Day by David Levithan and I'm currently reading: Leah on the off beat by Becky Albertalli
  10. That's just what we're doing this week
  11. I'm curently reading Second chance summer by Morgan Matson after I've finished a rather disappointing A thousand pieces of you by Claudia Gray.
  12. I'm currently reading the newest book by Kerstin Gier "Das Wolkenschloss" and I'm loving it. Someone might know the author from the trilogy around "Ruby red".
  13. I've ordered this one as a christmas present for myself
  14. We've started to watch Suits again, from the beginning (before continuing with the new season)
  15. I'm currently reading "My true love gave to me" by Stephanie Perkins, before that I read "What light" by Jay Asher.
  16. 50. Two more to go to complete my Goodreads challenge, which I set up lower than I would have liked, to compensate my ongoing and ever present reading slump.
  17. Yes, I'm totally on board with you. Plus: when publishers stop publishing series that aren't done yet. My Kitty Norville series books are from three different publishers > 3 different designs, 3 different sizes, 2 languages, different fonts, everything.
  18. I'm currently reading "My true love gave to me- Twelve Holiday Stories" edited by Stephanie Perkins. I'm four stories in and I love them
  19. I like my books to still look like new after I´ve read them, so no dog-earring here. I usually use postcards as bookmarks, as the size suits me better. Little bookmarks or train tickets tend to vanish in the book and I can´t find it (and where I stopped reading) again
  20. We´ve been watching Ascension this past week and it´s so good! Now I would like to read something like it. Has anyone a recommendation?
  21. Now they took it off and I still had two seasons to go.
  22. I can't wait for the third book in the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, George R.R. Martin to continue with A song of Ice and Fire, the third Justin Cronin and I'm sure a few others I can't think of right now. I'm always reluctant to continue reading a series when not all the books have been published yet, as I tend to have to reread them again again if another installment comes out, always forgetting what had happened previously.
