  11. Currently Reading: The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson Synopsis: In the concluding volume of Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy, Lisbeth Salander lies in critical condition in a Swedish hospital, a bullet in her head. But she's fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she'll stand trial for three murders. With the help of Mikael Blomkvist, she'll need to identify those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she'll seek revenge—against the man who tried to killer her and against the corrupt government institutions that nearly destroyed her life. Courtesy of b&n.com

  13. Wish I had read more this year, but I did read one more book than last year so I guess that's something. Ending the year the way I started it.

  15. frankie, Iceland was amazing! I was only there for a day and a half, so I didn't get to do as much as I wanted, but it was really beautiful. Definitely an experience I wont soon forget. Thanks, Inver! Thank you, Kidsmum! Unfortunately I have yet to finish the last book, but there's always the new year!
  16. Hi all! Sorry I haven't had any pictures to share lately. My mojo started to slip away towards the end of September and just completely disappeared in October. I'm happy to report that my mojo has since returned, unfortunately it was do to a hurricane that swept through my city. I was without power for a week, so once the sun went down my go to source of entertainment was reading. Hoping to finish The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest within the next two weeks before the holiday rush begins. Hope you all are well! So happy I never caved and bought one of those silly kindles!
  17. That makes perfect sense! Oh, I hated the Cather in the Rye! I've actually re-read that book more than once trying to figure out why so many people love it. I just don't get it!
  18. Thank you, Karen! I hope your mojo returns soon. Go for it!
  19. Everyone deserves a book treat once in awhile! The Book Thief was a great choice. Will most likely be my best read this year. I've heard the books are very different from the movies and the movies are actually better! Usually its always the other way around. I'm wondering if you find it hard having to finish a book you don't like so you can check it off your challenge list. Could you substitute it for a better book since yours is a genre challenge?
  20. I recently watched the first season in two days and I'm in love. Can't wait to start the second season! Anyone know when the third season will air in the US?
