I guess all mothers are... And I was just kidding.

  2. ii

Oh, no worries! I know how scary your mother can be... *grins*

  3. ii

Sounds like an excellent plan! I'm trying to come up with the energy to work on my thesis. But I'm too caught up on my book at the moment, so...

  4. ii

Oh, okay. Lucky you. I don't think I've ever been snowed in, not even when we lived in New England. Man, I've missed out on an experience!

  5. ii

    Oh, Hello!

It's nice to meet you. How are you? And shouldn't you be at school?? *laughs*

  6. ii

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that! And it's always so annoying when you touch it out for one day, then the next day when you feel the same, but admit that going out the day before probably wasn't the smartest thing, you have all the fun stuff, so you feel like you have to go there as "I did the boring stuff yesterday too, and I'm not feeling any worse today". It's evil. It's all a conspiracy to get us go to school, I'm telling you...

Okay, so basically they're worried that some pretty young thing is going to wear a short skirt and get a good grade for that from some sleazy old geezer? Man, I couldn't survive a year in your school! *cracks up*

  7. ii

Oh, yes, I read about your troubling day! I'm so sorry! Poor you... Are you feeling any better at all? If you ask me (and of course you do, as I'm the Fountain of Wisdom, everyone knows that!), skipping school tomorrow is a really good plan. Give yourself, and your body, some time to rest. It cannot fight the cold if you're overworking it all the time.

Slipping the essay under the door wasn't an option?

    Get well soon!!

    *hugs*

p.s. Think of it like this: having a cold and staying home means you can read more...

    Hi Janet!

We have indeed missed each other, it seems. Probably 'cause I was in the States and therefore online 1) very little and 2) late your time. I'm fine, thank you. I finally returned home over the weekend. It's good to be back here, although I did love being in NY.

How are you? I have to confess, I didn't read the "what's up" thread, as it was pages after pages of new posts, so I'm sorry if I've missed something important. If so, I hope it was good important instead of bad!

    *kisses*

  9. *laughs* Wow... BCF's gotten serious, profile stalking now... No no no, don't be nervous! I'm really rather sweet, I am. Honest!

I'm sorry if I came off all cross earlier, like I said in my reply, that wasn't my intention. It's just a pet peeve of mine, when people use Scandinavia incorrectly. I also correct people when they use America for the States ("America refers to the whole continent, not the country USA") and so on. So it was in no way personal. I do apologise if that's the vibe you got.

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

    ii

  10. ii

Exactly! I much prefer being totally out of it for two days and then be fine, but that on-going semi-fit state of having a cold is just annoying. I'd much prefer my body to make up its mind. Be ill, or be healthy, no in-betweens!

Oooh, I love the one for Nici, that's perfect for her! *laughs*

  11. ii

Awww, you poor thing! Drink loads of lemon tea with honey, take a long hot shower but take care not to get cold after (the steam is good for your throat) and up your intake of vitamin C. That's over 8 years of living in Finland -experience talking. *laughs* I hate having a cold, so you have my sympathies...

*cracks up* I'm flattered. BF would agree with you completely on the latter one, as would Perfect Morning-After Voice... They love calling me nicknames that refer to the fact I'm so much smaller than they are (like Pocket. Or Cricket or Lucky Bug. *laughs*) so they'll love that! I am truly honoured. *grins* What did everyone else got? (I have like 3000+ unread posts here, so if you have a thread, sorry I haven't found it yet!)

    *kisses*

    Hi!

I'm great, thank you. Glad to be back home. And you, are you doing okay?

Well, I've been busy... I might have more time now...

    *kisses*

  13. Hi Dahlin!

How was your trip?? (Maybe you've told all about it somewhere, but as I have about 3500 unread posts...)

    *kisses*

  14. ii

Oh, the ghost pain doesn't come until the next day! *cracks up* No, seriously, it's amazing! Try it. In fact... I dare you.

*laughs* Well, I could attach a dictionary... or I could just go with my original plan and get something Finnish translated! *gasp* How's that for Unbelievably Smart and Incredibly Brilliant? *laughs*

  15. ii

    Hi!

I'm glad you're enjoying the movie. The rhythm is very different than in the new one, yes. And I love the songs.

Oh, pilates is great, I really enjoy it! It's not as horrible as it sounds. I really like the fact that it's not one of those things where you get all sweaty and gross, but it's more calm yet totally energizes you up. You're not tired and exhausted after a class, but full of energy, and in good mood. I strongly recommend it!

We are?? *is really scared now* No no no, sounds fashinating! I can't wait! I have no idea of what to send, though... Or maybe I do, I could after all go all Finnish on you... *gets busy planning*

  16. ii

    Hey Dahlin'!

I'm fine, thank you! And you? I'm in NY. *laughs* DD's maybe flying to Europe later in the week, so I might just wait for few days and bum a lift. And I fell in love with pilates, so I might stick around for few more classes... (btw, I have no deeper abdominal muscles. None. I told them to do something, and nothing happened. So they must be missing. Oddly enough I experienced some soreness around that region the following day. It must have been ghost pain, you know, like those who've had their leg amputates feel it itch and stuff? Yeah, must have been that...)

Oooh, you're in for a treat! The oompa-loompa's are brilliant! Enjoy the movie!! *passes over some popcorn*

  17. I know! And I like having my options open. Thank you! *hugs*

*laughs* erm... I have a feeling you won't be winning that argument! *laughs* Well, it could be worse! A good friend of mine, Finnish, is called Juha. And I mentioned him to another friend of mine, who happens to be from Slovenia, in an email. In her reply she goes "did you know there's a word 'juha' in Slovene? It means 'soup'." So naturally I called my friend Soup from thereon. To my defence, Juha is a very common name in Finland, and I have several friends with that name, so making the distinction was actually important.

  18. I was like frantically doing math in my head, thinking, "okay, I'm, what, 6 hours ahead of France? and that's way ahead of India..." *laughs* It's sweet that you're so proud of Raja. (which, btw, means 'border' in Finnish, did you know that?)

Thank you! It's still just a draft on an idea, something a friend and I have been playing with, but we'll see... I have quite a few ideas and plans going on right now... But you never know!

  19. Hi!

    How are you?

And what are you still doing online?? Shouldn't you be in bed by now...

    *kisses*

  20. ii

Not bad, not bad... *laughs* Luckily we're taking it a bit easier tonight... I'm really getting old!

*laughs* Anything to stay home and read, I suppose...

  21. ii

    Hi!

*laughs* Yes, it seems I'm lost... add H and champagne (and championship cake!!) to that list, and that's pretty much my life right now. It's been amazing!

    How are you? *hugs*

  22. ii

It was! *laughs* I think it was just that I thought it'd be easier, and then in got complicated, so... A few friends of mine booked the helicopter, I can't thank them enough! It was just what I needed! Like a shot of pure adrenaline into my arm.

Are you saying you didn't know there was Worlds going on in Val d'Isere or something non-PG-rated? I don't kick people out for forgetting the Worlds. And I offer them champagne for the latter part. *laughs*

  23. ii

    Hi!

It was a pain. We got rescheduled like three times before the first take-off, then I had to make an extra plain-change... It was trying. But, thank God, my friends were able to adjust to my scheduling difficulties, as we were supposed to fly the last stop together. Choppers are more fun that I remembered! Which of course made me go all "we have to go heli-skiing soon!" to Ski Guy as soon as I saw him. Apparently that's not the proper way to say hello... *frowns*

Val d'Isere. Of course. *grin* Did you really think I'd miss the Worlds? *laughs*

  24. ii

I'd respond, but I'm too tired. Now that my annoyance is gone, I'm off to bed.

    Good night!

  25. ii

I'm worried about you. It seems you have a life! *gasp* How dare you get one and not tell me...

But I agree with you. She could have depeted a lot of the later half. And why not make his death an accident? At least to some degree. It would have been better if it was 'faster', with less of that whole preparations-thing. Now it dragged. And I'm not sure I liked the Alba-angle either. Why not get rid of Henry, and then Claire finds out she'd pregnant, if offspring is necessary. No, I didn't like the ending.
