  1. I'm quite recovered, thank you!

The exam was okay-ish. Could have gone better, but given the time I had to prepare, quite well. We'll see.

How are you? All set for the weekend?

  2. Awww, that's difficult. Especially since you haven't actually tried out HK yet, so...

    I'll PM you.

  3. Hi!

Do you still need a project? Other than handbag hunting?

    *kisses*

  4. Oh, you'll have time to do it. For me it's almost mandatory, as no one lives near me!

Your class sounds interesting. I've never read anything regarding mental illness apart from Bell Jar, so I can't really say anything about it. I just wonder, isn't it awfully depressing? I've been meaning to read the book about John Nash, more because of his works than his illness. Maybe I'll do that with the underground reading circle I'm thinking of, what with all my favourites always losing in the votes!

I read all sorts, within certain limits. I'm not overly fond of detective stories. I don't read horror, absolutely not, or anything to do with vampires. I loved Waiting by Ha Jin, as well as L'

  5. I have. It's a nice relaxing place to chat about books (and everything else!) that's not tied to a place. I like things I can do in several locations as I travel a lot, so a book club that has fixed meetings at a certain place is pretty impossible for me.

What types of books do you enjoy the most? Have you taken part in any of the reading circles yet, for example?

  6. Oh, that's nice!

    Hi to you too!

How are you finding the forum?

  7. Oh, did you have a successful hunt?

I'm having the craziest of schedules, yesterday I was on my feet, out and about for 14 hours straight. Today, the same. Tomorrow, probably the same. Friday? Two exams and a party. So I guess I'm being productive for the both of us! *laughs*

    Take care!

    *kisses*

  8. You're back!

Glad to see you're still around. Unfortunately, I have to run, so once again no change for a chat... Oh well, if I survive this week, then maybe... *laughs*

    How's the ceiling?

    *kisses*

    Morning!

What on Earth are you doing here at this god-forsaken hour?? *cracks up*

    How are you?

    *kisses*

    Hi!

I was just thinking the same thing! This IS tricky! *laughs* Plus I just watched a program about cops in Finland, so I'm in very different 'tune', you know? But I just though

  11. ii

    emailed you.

    *kisses*

  12. ii

I'm off in a flash, too.

    Good night!

    *kisses*

I delegated the suffering to innocent unsuspecting people. I was left with a nice warm caffeine buzz. *grins*

I know!! Those people scare me a little bit, to be honest.

You should! Usually I'm diving straight in, even if I know that I can't finish the book. I'm making a huge effort for you here! *laughs*

Aww, isn't that switching back and forth making your head spin?

    *kisses*

  14. ii

Imagine what it was to type it! *laughs*

    Awww... mornings suck!

No, it's not in the limbo. I'm saving it. For a special occasion. *laughs*

Well, I have a ton of plans for the weekend, too, so... But it's getting better. Less hectic.

    *kisses*

    Morning!

Yes, that's one thing business schools teach you! *laughs*

It is! It's now 5.56AM and I'm out of my warm comfortable bed. This is wrong. Will go and blog about this shortly.

I haven't had the time, unfortunately. Once again, my stock response: it's on the list. *cracks up* No no, seriously though, I'll get to it as soon as I can, I can't really wait. But I want to be able to focus on it properly, and most of all, I don't want it to fall victim of my crazy schedule like so many books have in the past. I pick them up, start them, then don't have time to finish them, leaving them on limbo of "I'm so lost on that book, yet I don't want to start over" for months. So as soon as I can give it the time it deserves, I'm on it. It's on the list!

Have a nice day at work!

I know! That, and the short skirts, and I'm got a Master's in the bag. *cracks up* ... It's one of the good sides of being a small school. ... Oh, yes! And about looking for the win-win solution.

Oh, that's better. It's always preferable to just sit back and watch others make fools out of themselves. ... Oh, just make something up and use terms like 'strategical optimum' and 'logistically sound solution', and you'll be fine! *laughs*

I'm off, I have an insanely early morning tomorrow. I need to leave the building by 7.15 or 7.25 the latest. That's just wrong, non?!? Luckily my coffee maker's on timer...

    sweet dreams!

    *kisses*

I think that's how My Friend With Huge Boobs graduated, she was my Partner-in-Crime in everything (like getting drunk last Wednesday and getting everyone else wasted as well by feeding them an endless supply of Jell-O shots). *laughs*

Aw, I hate conference calls! I always end up getting nervous and babbling pure nonsense. I applaud you for surviving.

    *kisses*

Sorry, I was busy. I didn't have time to go through my Top Secret Blackmail Material folder with the Army Boots photos.

I'm doubting my abilities when it comes to macroeconomic theory, not my abilities to bs. *laughs* Well, technically there's three pre-set exam dates for each course, but sometimes the departments have General Exam Day's, where you can, for example for Economics, take any economics course exam you want. Also, sometimes the teachers give the class extra attempts, especially if many fail. And because the eco dept is so small they're more likely to make exceptions for you. Plus I'm very close to graduation, and causing a lot of trouble all the time (like having huge drunken debate over hockey with my prof and thesis supervisor! no kidding!!) they want me to finish the courses I have hanging and get the he** out of that school! *cracks up*

  19. ii

    Good morning!

Just thought I'd let you know, I'm not taking that exam tomorrow. My incredible skills at bs aren't quite that incredible after all, so I'm going to find another way to do it a bit later in the spring.

    Have a lovely day!

    *kisses*

  20. ii

*laughs* So between BCF, Facebook and Twitter you're keeping pretty busy... *cracks up*

I should study, but I have absolutely no interest in the topic. I'm "being productive" by checking email and stuff like that all the time instead. *hangs head in shame*

  21. ii

Oh, wow! Sounds amazing! And I'm impressed by Robbie, he's such a sweetheart.

  22. ii

Happy Birthday! I'm sorry it's late. Did you have a nice cake? *laughs* And what did you get for presents?

    *kisses*

  23. ii

    Oh, good!

Well, books are excluded, of course. *laughs* Other than that, I know there's a huge piles of things like cosmetics, dishware, old papers, clothes that aren't used and/or loved, odd random things I've held on to for no reason really that really should go. I only just got home late last night and was on the go for most of today, so I haven't actually thrown anything out yet *cracks up* but I will! I'll attack some of them tomorrow, as I'm doing stuff at home the whole day.

Maybe we should compare our progress? *laughs*

    I'm off to bed...

    Good night!

Are you okay? I'm so sorry about the Waiting! Of course what you did see isn't the whole truth by far. It's like saying I have a lot of ballet flats. And I honestly believe that this is a book that can be read and reread, so knowing the story (or parts of it) doesn't spoil it.

I'm throwing away half my stuff. After all the moving and decorating I've done for others, I'm so full of 'physical possessions', I'm going on a diet. Thing diet. I'm cutting back on what I have. Seriously, I have way too much stuff! Just thought I'd tell you. *laughs*

    Hi!

I'm fine, thank you! I've been incredibly busy, flying and driving back and forth, doing million things at once, keeping several schedules and just in general going crazy. Of course, I've loved it all, I'm at my best when at the brink of lunacy but it's been exhausting (and it's not over yet!) Luckily I've managed to sneak in a pilates class every now and then, I've really fallen for that. And it helps me clear my mind. But with all the things going on, I haven't dared to stop by the forum, knowing I'd get pulled in for hours on end. *laughs*

How are you?? I've missed you terribly! Beth's emailing every now and then, and Chimmy keeps me up to date more or less. But I have no idea what's going on in your life! (Plus I totally skipped all the "what's up" thread, that thread would take days to catch up on!)

    *hugs*
