I do a similar thing, I always have to have the car CD player at 20 or 30. not 21, not 28 only 30 or 20.I also have a habit of drumming my hands/fingers on things when music is on or if there is a song in my head. I also twirl things between my fingers a lot absent mindedly.
I agree it was nice to get out of the castle as it was getting a little tired, but still, camping? these are people with magical powers and the best she could come up with was camping? come on!
I am looking forward to this but deep down I am really hoping they keep the camping down to a minumum, the last book read like J.K had bought shares in a tent company.
There is an apple app for audiobooks that has hundreds and hundreds of free audiobooks, that may be a good place to start, that way you can download the books straight to your ipod (I think they have access to the app store?)
in that case, I recommend you get Frankie Fraser's books, Sodomy and the Pirate Tradition, War and Peace as well as Crime and Punishment. They will take you mere minutes to read as they all simply fly along!
yes but photoshop is a bit on the pricey side for simple photo editing. May I suggest if that is all someone needs photo editing software that is free they check out the fantastic open source GIMP
There are a few different ones you could use, you could try flickr or imageshack or if you do a lot of image hosting you could get your own cheap web space. then you could upload any size you want, organize how you want etc.
I actually think the movie is quite good, its a little over the top and a slightly more Hollywood version of holmes (the chase scenes over the docks and so forth) but on the whole its a very good Watch.
I remember reading the story of the red headed league when I was younger and recently heard a radio dramatisation of it which was good. Not sure why I always remembered that story from childhood but it is good
I saw this the other day for the first time and was stunned I have never heard of it before, it is like a cross between Fahrenheit 451, nineteen eighty four and the matrix all of which I love. It was a nice surprise to see a movie that I enjoyed so much but knew nothing about.
She is the parent it is her ultimate responsibility to protect the cards. Her son is 100% wrong I agree but she is not deaf dumb and blind, rather than blame the child she seems to blame the people not refunding it. How can they know if its fraud or not if it was done by her son from HER house (thus her IP address).
on a side note, how amazing a paragraph is:
I am a huge fan of true crime, something I seem to have picked up from my dad who for years read almost exclusively true crime. Some of my most enjoyed from the last year or so were
Homicide and The Corner both by David Simon (the writer of the tv show the wire)
The Devil's Dozen: How Cutting-Edge Forensics Took Down 12 Notorious Serial Killers by Katherine M. Ramsland
Witsec: Inside the Federal Witness Protection Program by Gerald Shur - this book is not so much about true crime but about the people who created and worked inside the witness protection program which has been instrumental in leading to so many convictions, I thought it was a very interesting tale to see how they started out as being the project no one wanted to work on to being a hugely important part of the criminal system.
Mafia Enforcer by Cecil Kirby - The story of Cecil who was the president of the Satans choice Motorbike club then left to become the top enforcer for the Mafia in Canada before turning witness against them.
No Angel: My Undercover Journey to the Heart of the Hells Angels by Jay Dobyns - Jay is an undercover agent for the ATF who over the course of years infiltrated the Hells Angels
no. If teenagers can cope with the drugs violence and sex in school, home and their social life they should cope with it in books. Better yet they could learn to grow a pair and if they don't like something just change the channel/put it away rather than getting sue happy. These people annoy me beyond belief.
