  1. I never get enough time to read these days..it's impossible at the office, and at home I have to wait till my baby's asleep..nevertheless I manage to get 1 or 2 chapters of reading every night.
  2. Nowadays I only go to a bookstore if I have some money to spend ..otherwise I can't resist the pull
  3. I've read only 10 this year. Unfortunately English books are a luxury in my country..
  4. I would suggest a comic if he's not much of a book reader. I find all Calvin & Hobbes comics (by Bill Watterson), absolutely hilarious.
  5. Mine would probably be on my rocking chair..though when I still lived in Bali, I used to love reading on the beach..
  6. Hi Kerri & Sam, I read through this thread today but maybe I shouldn't have because now I'm very curious . I hope your books will be available in Indonesia soon. I will put them on my TBR list. Good luck to you both!
  7. 'In his final messages, the ones sent by carrier pigeon, he had described the old man so that she could not mistake him when he reached Los Angeles, as Robert knew by then he would. Tall and stooped, wrapped in a long gray cloak and wearing a wide-brimmed hat, he was the personification of evil. The eyes were what you remembered, Robert wrote.' Genesis of Shannara - Armageddon's Children, by Terry Brooks.
  8. I look for books by author or good reviews..but I always browse around the bookstore for something new. The cover & title always catch my eye first, then I have to read the blurb..if it doesn't seem interesting I would probably pass.
  9. I was going through Amazon and found "The Children of Hurin" by JRR Tolkien & edited by his son. Has anyone read this yet? It has made me curious and I'm not sure if it's available in my country yet.
  10. Birthday: 2nd February Age: 30 Starsign: Aquarius Single/Married/Other? Married Children? 1 baby (9 months old) Where do you live? Bandung, Indonesia Do you work? Yes Favourite author? I don't have one favourite...J.R.R. Tolkien , J.K Rowling and more Favourite book? Lots of books I love..The Hobbit , Harry Potter and many more How did you get here? through a search engine
  11. I read this book last year. I thought it was really good after the 'Da Vinci Code' hype. I would read another Kate Mosse book.
  12. I read Hideaway, Whispers & False Memory which were all quite good. I don't really enjoy reading thrillers/horror nowadays, but I used to love nothing else 10 years ago.
  13. The only book I remember that scared me was Salem's Lot (I hate vampires). I liked Pet Sematery too. I remember reading Desperation, but I don't remember what it was about..
  14. I love reading about food! I really enjoyed Blackberry Wine & Five Quarters of an Orange by Joanne Harris.
  15. This is my favourite out of all HPs. It only took me 2 days of sleepless nights to read, I couldn't put it down. It's so action packed and full of surprises. I was also hoping Dumbledore's death was a fake, but it was explained well enough in the end. It's so sad that Fred, Lupin & Tonks had to die, but I guess there had to be some sacrifices made, otherwise it would've seemed too easy to beat Voldemort. I loved it that Mrs. Weasley showed some 'Mum Power' in the end, Bellatrix was so nasty. :readingtwo:Ratna
