I'm going to finish Shirley by Charlotte Bronte tonight, after which, I'm not 100% decided. Maybe a re-read of Mrs. Dalloway or one of the 100 books I've never read that are staring at me from my bookcase.

Let's see...I have a 3-day weekend coming up for the 4th of July, and BF and I are planning to set off fireworks with our nephew. Other than that, I have an audit to prep for at work, books to read, and summer heat to escape from!

Around my neck of the woods, the main stories are the multiple wildfires burning away all over the state. They're not calling for rain any time soon, but hopefully, the firefighters can still get them under control.

Cloudy and super humid. There was a dry thunderstorm in the Olympic Mountains...multiple lightning strikes have caused a 1,000 acre wildfire. We haven't had rain in weeks, but there's hope for some tonight. Keep your fingers crossed!

I was so happy, but not surprised, at the Supreme Court ruling today! I find some of the reactions from conservatives amusing, especially from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who now wants to eliminate the Supreme Court altogether...an entire branch of the federal government....and he's running for president!

It's such a good series, isn't it? Are you watching it in English, Dutch, or Japanese? I generally prefer watching anime series in Japanese with subs, but I've always watched Ghost in the Shell in English, for some reason. I just watched an episode of Famil Guy. I might just be me, but I don't think that show is as funny as it used to be. :/

The Girl on the Train is high up on my wish list! I've also heard the comparisons to Gone Girl, which I liked OK, but couldn't get through all the way. I'm glad to hear from you that it's not exactly the same.
