  1. The last book I started to read was 'The Girls' by Lori Lansen, but Im rather embarressed to say that after reading about half of the book, I gave up:motz:!!! I know, I should be ashamed of myself, but I just couldn't get into it ( it took me about a month to get to where I was!). What books have you attempted, but gave up on after a few pages?
  2. Damaged by Cathy Glass was the last book to make me cry. Very touching...........
  3. I really enjoyed Toni Maguire's first book, 'Dont Tell Mummy'. It was written so well, that you felt you was part of the book - standing next to the characters, and experiencing everything they were. I have just bought the book that follows on to this called 'When Daddy Comes Home' and was wondering if anyone has read it yet? Im still reading 'The Girls', at the minute, but cant wait to start this book, and I hope my high expectations are met!!! Any comments would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Has anybody here read 'Damaged' by Cathy Glass? It was one of the most touching books that I have read this year, and very well written. It was the kind of book where I didn't want to know what the poor girl went through next, but somehow, I just had to read on. It was heartbreaking knowing what such a small girl was put through, and how it has changed her life. I shed a tear or two on this book, believe me!!! Cathy Glass has a new book due out in January called 'Hidden' which is a story based on another of her foster children. This is a must buy!!!!!!! Let me know your thoughts?
  5. Hiya, I read this book a while ago. In my opinion, it wasn't her best book (the best one being 'PS I Love You', which is out on film soon....... can't wait!!!), but still a great read. Hope you enjoy!
  6. :readingtwo:Is anyone reading (or has read) 'The Girls' by Lori Lansen? I've just started reading it (am about 20 pages in) and was wondering what peoples views are on it?
  7. Hello to all fellow bookworms!!! I am new to the book forum, but let me tell you I am truly addicted to books! I buy so many, I have a whole shelf full of books yet to read! I am quite varied with the books I read and have just finished the book 'Taken' by Chris Jordan which was fantastic. I'm currently reading 'The Girls'- by Lori Lansen. I've only read the first chapter, but it seems quite interesting. Anyway, look at me, I've only just registered and already I can't stop yacking about my books ! Do you have any tips on good reads out at the mo? What are you currently reading? Nice talking to you all xx xx xx
