I finished 'The Bad Mother's Handbook' by Kate Long, it was really good, funny and sad at parts, a good read
I enjoyed this too Paula - if you haven't read her other two I can recommend them as well

I have finished another book today
For non-Christians, this religion is not stuffed down the throat; the book gives sensible and practical ways of living a good moral life.
Overall, this is a great way of looking at the Ten Commandments and a new way of living.

I've managed thus far to live a moral life in my humble opinion. Don't think I will be needing any more sensible or practical ways to live thanks

it really depends on how it is handled for me... i would call myself an atheist, as in having no belief in the existence of gods, so i do not willingly subject myself to most religious matter...
That's me too. If it's part of a good book - great, but I wouldn't be actively seeking out books with religion. Read Narnia books as well, and any religious element passed me by

My 13 nearly 14 year old also rarely reads but 'The Gossip Girl' series have had her glued recently and Louise Rennison books too. There are also 3 books by Grace Dent which went down well and that's about it!! I will look them up after tea

no wonder you can't sleep!!!
My bumps were as big as that and I couldn't sleep either in late pregnancy - lay on your back or right and you cut off the blood supply to your heart with the weight of the baby so you can only sleep on the left side or sleep sitting up -
well..one shelf seems to be organized by SIZE! first sign of a diseased mind if you ask me!

My son will be 16 in January and he has the whole set of 'Cherub' books by Robert Muchamore. They would be his favourite - they are aimed at teenagers and very popular - son is a sensitive type so do Google and have a look there are about 10 of them now
