  2. I've managed thus far to live a moral life in my humble opinion. Don't think I will be needing any more sensible or practical ways to live thanks

  4. I have read a few on your list - I spy a fellow knitter - I don't know anyone else who has read Gil McNeil - 'Diva's Don't Knit' except me!! Are you on Ravelry? What did you think of Joshua Ferris? My review is in the blog.
  5. That's me too. If it's part of a good book - great, but I wouldn't be actively seeking out books with religion. Read Narnia books as well, and any religious element passed me by
  6. Train to Trieste - Domnica Radulescu - review in the blog. On to a knitting book!!
  7. Perhaps with recession, the neighbours might want to save some cash? Lol! yeah looking forward to meet up as well. Can't believe it when you said it was 2 months since your mum died - really only seems like last week - and now poor Paula is going thru a similar ordeal. I also wonder about Spooncat. Hope she comes back on soon.

  8. I was only just thinking about that the other day!! 28th I think is Diwali - that's half term - I feel another letter coming on! We have a whopping new mosque just completed - minaret you can see from quite a long way off. It's Ramadan right now so let's hope they don't start the fireworks business at Eid!! That would ust be the icing on the cake

  9. Finished 'Train to Trieste' by Domnica Radulescu. Review to follow - too tired tonight.
  10. No I didn't get a paper today
  11. My 13 nearly 14 year old also rarely reads but 'The Gossip Girl' series have had her glued recently and Louise Rennison books too. There are also 3 books by Grace Dent which went down well and that's about it!! I will look them up after tea
  12. Great story, acting, plot Paula but...poor ending
  13. It's just left me utterly bewildered - great story and build up - no ending!
  14. Can someone please explain who did it? I am confused - did the blonde woman crying say she did it?
  15. Deeply boring. Independent Prescribing!! I'm going to London Metropolitan starting Monday.

  16. Yes! Yes! But I admit to being a bit muddled by the forward flashes
  17. Hey Rennie is the author Linda Grant - the same one who writes about astrology?

  18. no wonder you can't sleep!!! My bumps were as big as that and I couldn't sleep either in late pregnancy - lay on your back or right and you cut off the blood supply to your heart with the weight of the baby so you can only sleep on the left side or sleep sitting up
