good luck to my daughter and everyone else getting their GCSE results today. Pity the media have to scaremonger hours before some of them are allowed to collect them - my daughter is a nervous wreck.

First day of P1 went well. Very proud of my Big Boy going in without a fuss - unlike his former bully who clung to his mother and wailed while refusing to go into his classroom. Let's just say Xan is no longer afraid of him - yay!

I'm back from my holidays and slowly going through all the new posts since I left! It's great to read what you've all written .

Three weeks today and I'm on a place to Skiathos, Greece. Actually can't wait.

Received the copy of The String Diaries that I won in the BCF competition today - it looks great!

Strange but good day today - I passed my degree with a first and then found out I've been offered a place on the masters course I wanted. Feel a bit like I've been dreaming it!

Morning all, I've not been around for a while. I'm back in the land of the living after my daughter's wedding the other week. It was a beautiful day but now back to some serious reading!

Ouch...pulled a calf muscle.

Second year of university - done. I will now collapse into a place reserved simply for the academically exhausted. Then, freedom. At last.
