Received in the post today.....'The Knitting Circle' ~ Ann Hood. It is a bookring via Bookcrossing. Oh and a visit to the library with my eldest, looking for books for references for an essay for uni. Our cards are so out of date we aren't on their system anymore and had to renew membership!

'Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult This wasn't the usual style of Jodi Picoult, but I think it was one of her earlier books before she started writing in her current style. It was a good read. Paige only has a few memories of her own mother, as she left when she was only 5. She is young and has dreams of going to art school and leaves home to pursue her dreams. She meets and marries a doctor, Nicholas and soon becomes a mother herself. Finding it hard to adjust to this new and demanding way of life, with no help from Nicholas, she ups and leaves to try and find her mother and search for the answer to why she left her. It deals with both sides of how they cope, Nicholas, left holding the baby as it were, while Paige has to deal with her own doubts about her maternal abilities, or lack of them. Will it be that she is just like her mother? 4/5

I finished 'Harvesting the Heart' and it was a really good read. A bit different to her usual writing, but I believe it was one of her earlier ones before she got into the way she writes now.

Another cup....another game....another win......3-2 for Glendale and my boy today, and he scored the second and claimed the third as a cross in to box and went in off the opposition.

Good win for my Andy and Glendale at the weekend. The put the Premier League winners of last year out of a cup in the in Saturday...they wisnae pleased....lol. Went to extra time too.....4-3 in the end. He scored a pen.

Just been to the cinema with a friend to see 'Made in Dagenham'. Was very good......equal pay for women. Am sure I would have been right up there with them.

The Shell Seekers ~ Rosamunde Pilcher is quite good.

Just started Harvesting the Heart, not quite sure where this one will go, hoping it lives up to her usual good storytelling.

God knows what Levein was thinking....says in the paper 'no regrets about going defensive'!! Wonder what the tartan army think.....all to do as per usual....sigh.

Totally fantastic win for Europe today in the Ryder Cup....well done guys.

Well done Sedge, better result for you today then Andy and Glendale were due to have a cup game today at home to Cove Thistle, but due to the weather was called off, but they changed it to at their home ground and the other league game. This is the team that are top of the league at the moment and their only defeat to date was to us....3-1. We were winning 2-1 at half time then they equalised and managed a final 3rd goal about 5 mins to go. Andy managed a shot at goal from just inside the box took a deflection of one of Coves players went up in the air and managed to drift in behind the keeper..... , so he is definitely claiming that one. Wonder if they can make it 3 in a row when the cup tie is finally played. We should be back to home advantage if we do, but there again it doesn't seem to matter where we play them does it....
