  1. Have you tried Jenny Colgan. Romantic comedy, reads very easy to read. https://www.fantasticfiction.com/c/jenny-colgan/
  2. Oops...what is this...3 weeks in to 2017 and I've bought a book...well have seen it so many times on facebook book pages that I had to finally get a copy of 'The Nightingale' by Kristin Hannah...and Hayley has always recommended. Nearly finished '6 Rainier Drive' Debbie Macomber.
  3. I do wear specs for reading and close work....but might need a magnifying glass....I've haven't seen such small writing in a book for a long time..
  4. A friend and I went to see 'Lion' on Monday at our wee local cinema....wow what a lovely, if emotional, film.....based on a true story....recommend.
  5. Always in the trolley.... Bananas Apples Carrots Broccoli Green Beans/leeks/onions Lentils Bread Chicken/mince Tunnock's tea cakes Potato
  6. Bought today through many recommendations for this one (Hayley/Chaliepud).....'The Nightingale' by Kristin Hannah Only complaint I have and didn't realise is, why is the writing so small...?

  11. Just looking through your list of countries etc and see Wales has a gap. Not sure if you have heard of this one 'The Welsh Girl' ....I read it a good few years back and enjoyed it. The author is half Welsh, if that counts.
  12. 'Justine Gunderson woke suddenly from a deep sleep, with the vague sense that something was wrong.' '6 Rainier Drive' by Debbie Macomber
  13. That is comforting news...imagine no bookshops to go in and browse....

My son and mates do a draw for teams in the playoffs...he has the Falcons but his team is really the Patriots...although Gronk is out for rest of season he says....not that I would know anything about it.
  15. Thought you were visiting Hamilton near Glasgow...
  16. Got totally confused by it all, if to be honest.
  17. That reading challenge sounds like fun Hayley. I assume you have just started this one...I might pinch it.. I assume you can't double up, each one has to be a different author/title etc.
  18. Went to see 'Allied' with Brad Pitt in...was quite good. Friend and I enjoyed it.
  19. I've read this one too, but can't recall much about it. I'm sure I found it a bit disappointing I think, but can't remember why that was. As for Rebus by Ian Rankin, I can honestly say that being a Scot I have never read any of his books, but I know my in-laws had shelves full of those kind of reads. We gave so many away, when house clearing...
  20. Hoorah...you are up and running.... hope you have great year of reading and filling your wee hoosie with lots of new books...
  21. Got a bit confused with the second one at times, but then it fell in to place eventually, as they always do. Wonder what will happen in the last one
