  1. I'm reading 'The Lost Heart of Asia' by Colin Thubron. I've never really read a travel book before but I'm heading that way in April so thought I ought to gen up. Thubron is very good - highly recommended. He drifts smoothly into being lyrical and focuses on people and emotions, so much so you hardly notice the historic details.
  2. I saw 'Home' the other day which had me in stitches. Probably the campest kids movie I've seen and very cute. Feel I may have over-associated with the main alien.
  3. Good suggestion Raven - I've read both Enigma and Fatherland by Robert Harris and loved them. He's probably got a few others though so I'll check them out. Thanks! (Any others?)
  4. OK, having started way back with A Murder of Distinction, I have now nearly read my way through every John le Carre book. (OK, I confess I didn't finish The Naive and Sentimental Lover, but I loved every other novel). The trouble is, I can't find anyone else who writes as beautifully and as intelligently but still has me on the edge of my seat. Any suggestions? gg
