Did you mention it to the optician when you had your eyes tested?  They may have some ideas what's causing it or may do some additional tests to help.  Alternatively, it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion and try a different optician, or discuss with your doctor.

Yes they put it down to the glasses but I might see if I can go back again or discuss it with my dr when I next see her as I'm at the dr quite frequently unfortunately!

Maybe better lighting?  If your glasses don't help then you have the wrong prescription, you need to go back to the optician to check your reading prescription.

Could be the lighting, it's not the glasses as I had my prescription redone recently since I started getting the headaches

  3. I read this book in about 2 days! I loved it! It is a very different take on a book and although it has paranormal aspects it isn't a paranormal book, it captivated me from the first line.

I don't  think there is anyone I wouldn't recommend this amazing book to!

Its a brilliant book by an amazing author/actress/youtuber/singer!

I loved The Fault In Our Stars, but gave up on Katherines as I just couldn't get into it at all. As a result, I was kind of put off trying Paper Towns and haven't picked up anything else by this author. Love his Vlog Brothers stuff though, and absolutely adored The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, which was created by his brother (the other half of Vlog Brothers, obviously).

Paper towns is AMAZING! I couldn't get into Katherine's either, I've never read Hank's the Lizzie Bennett diaries but I might have to try it!

  5. John Green has a very different style of writing that I find captivating and I love his books! And the endings are always unexpected, i loved paper towns but I think the fault in our stars is my favourite! It's the only book that's made me cry! I literally threw it at a wall! But that's how I react to good books!

  6. I've just read the book, I can't get into the Netflix series, it deals a lot with suicide and has a few mildly explicit scenes, tbh I wouldn't rate it 18, I'd rate it 16 at most, I was reading books like this at 14, I think it would be important for you to talk to her about suicide etc before and after she reads it though

I always preferred the Famous 5 to the Secret 7 as well.  Only read The Hobbit as an adult.

I also liked the Paddington Bear books, and the Alfred Hitchcock/Nancy Drew books as well.

I could not get into the secret 7 but (thanks to my mum!) loved the Famous 5!

  8. Hi, when I read I get headaches, even if I'm only reading for a few minutes, I find it is solved if I'm wearing sunglasses but that's not always practical inside, and it's only if I'm reading a book or off my laptop, not when I'm on my iPad or iPod.

ive had my eyes checked twice and I've got glasses but they don't help, I still wear them though, has anyone got any ideas on how i can stop these headaches as its preventing me from reading, which I love!
