Old Timer

I have never been a great book reader, probably because i have always been busy with other things and to be honest my eyes have never really been that good for reading for any length of time. Relaxing has become more of a way of life since having a couple of heart attacks and that is where books have come into play. I can`t really concentrate for long before I go nod off so that is where listening has come into play, couple this to tinnitus and you can see why I like to listen and can normally nod off and get a good nights sleep. The turning point really came when I discovered a certain MP3 player that allowed me to set the listening time but when turned back on the player returns to the exact spot where the 30mins ran out so even if I did nod off it is easy to find the spot I remember.

I live in a small Norfolk village with open countryside around with my wife and enjoy nothing more than a walk through the countryside with a camera around my neck. We love animals of all types and at present have 5 cats that were strays and just wandered in one day (as they do) so to settle down to listen to a good book at night with a cuddly friend tucked in beside me purring ends the day a treat.
