  1. 1. Crooked house 2. Nemesis 3. Cat among the pigeons Crooked house shocked me with the philosophy that crime and the criminal's age is not connected. Even a little girl is capable of murder!!!! I never suspected her until the end. Guess it's true that they say even the seed can be rotten! Nemesis showed me the danger of obsessed possesiveness. The things humans do in the name of affection! Cat among pigeons shows you that the most evil of characters can dwell among the most innocent!
  2. The heroine's family and the heroe's family have been friends and business partners for nearly 3 generations. So both the families were all for getting these 2 married. It was very nearly an arranged marriage but the 2 protagonists have genuine affection for each other. But then the heroine's evil cousin who is jealous of her and is kinda attracted to the hero confuses the heroine by saying that the hero is marrying her only because he didn't have a choice and all such nonsense. So the girl runs away on the marriage and the hero never quite forgives her. After a few years the heroine is forced to come back due to some unavoidable circumstance like a Grandpa's death or something. The hero is an architect and the girl is also a board member in their family,'s joint company. Even after all these years both of them are still very much in love with each other but too stubborn to admit it. The hero even designs a house for her grandmother. Somebody please help me find the book. I don't remember if it was a mills and boon. I think the cover of the book had a picture of the heroe's big mansion with it's big gates.
  3. Harry Potter books are supposed to be magical. At least that's what I have come to believe until now. But there was something missing in this book. It wasn't quite that magical. For one, it lacked powerful characters like dumbledore. And the picturization of Minerva was downright disappointing. To think that she might bow down to anyone, even Harry is unacceptable. That was not her. To snoop around teenage boys just because one of their father said so was ridiculous. She is the indomitable principal of Hogwarts, not just some petty baby-sitter!!!! Entertaining characters like Luna were missing. The story seemed to have too serious an undertone even though Rowling's humour shines through the clouds now and then. There was no scene or character that was unforgettable as so many were in the original series. It was disappointing because I have read better fabrics than this.
