  1. I think Bill Bryson is the only author who has literally made me laugh out loud. My favourite bits include the bit in A Walk in the Woods when he tells the annoying female companion that his star sign is cunnilingus and probably my favourite of all time is the morning after he gets drunk with Allan at the bar in Down Under: " Where coffee where?"
  2. Thank you so much both, I'll be using that. As a side note is they any reason why I can't get into the chat rooms?
  3. Thank you all ☺️ Flip Martian ( or anyone of course) have you read The Road To Little Dribbling? If so what did you think. Also, if you've seen it what did you think about the film of A Walk in the Woods?? Should I be posting about this elsewhere in the forum? Anyway, how's Alec Guinness grabbing you?
  4. Hi, I'm a brand new member and v excited about joining. I'm from the UK and read just about anything from travel (love Bill Bryson) to autobiographical to historical novels and thrillers. All I do know is that if it doesn't grab me within the first couple of pages it's a big no no and doesn't get finished. I'm currently reading A God In Ruins by Kate Atkinson and I think it's fantastic. So where are people from and what are you into?
