      March Supporter Giveaway   03/02/2019

So March has crept up on us and I'm thrilled to finally show you the GREAT (he he...) March giveaway!     This time we have a gorgeous print of The Great Gatsby's most famous line from thestorygift.co.uk AND a Great Gatsby tea from the Literary Tea Company! This particular tea is Peach Blossom (which sounds delicious and I kind of wish I could keep it myself...) and the tin features another Gatsby quote.  If you'd like to see the other literary teas available (there are lots, I spent ages looking) you can find them both at the Literary Tea Company's etsy store (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LiteraryTeaCompany) or at their own website, theliteraryteacompany.co.uk .   As always, supporters are automatically entered into the giveaway and if you're not a supporter but want to be included in this months giveaway you can become a supporter on patreon here... https://www.patreon.com/bookclubforum .   A winner will be chosen at random on the last day of the month. Good luck!

  1. Bill Bryson

I think Bill Bryson is the only author who has literally made me laugh out loud. My favourite bits include the bit in A Walk in the Woods when he tells the annoying female companion that his star sign is cunnilingus and probably my favourite of all time is the morning after he gets drunk with Allan at the bar in Down Under: " Where coffee where?"
  2. Well Hello

Thank you so much both, I'll be using that. As a side note is they any reason why I can't get into the chat rooms?
  3. Well Hello

Thank you all ☺️ Flip Martian ( or anyone of course) have you read The Road To Little Dribbling? If so what did you think. Also, if you've seen it what did you think about the film of A Walk in the Woods?? Should I be posting about this elsewhere in the forum? Anyway, how's Alec Guinness grabbing you?
  4. Well Hello

Hi, I'm a brand new member and v excited about joining. I'm from the UK and read just about anything from travel (love Bill Bryson) to autobiographical to historical novels and thrillers. All I do know is that if it doesn't grab me within the first couple of pages it's a big no no and doesn't get finished. I'm currently reading A God In Ruins by Kate Atkinson and I think it's fantastic. So where are people from and what are you into?
