Hi, I read a mystery lately, and there was something about the plot I couldn't follow. I wonder if anyone here could clarify it? The book is Semper Fidelis, by Ruth Downie, starring the army medic Gaius Petreius Ruso, in ancient Roman Britain. (SPOILERS)
