  1. Just finished Ross Kemp's A-Z of Hell, really enjoyed it, never watched any of his series but there is a lot of references in there and also stuff that wasn't shown on TV, some shocking and some really funny parts. Overall a good read and gets straight to the point.
  2. I am a big fan of the Half Life games but I didn't choose it for that reason, its a name alot of my friends call me, either G or G man, hardly ever my Sunday name
  3. I feel the same way about horror films as I do about horror books, the creepier the better. All that blood and guts just doesn't cut it with me, I like something that will really freak me out psychologically. I'm busy reading James Herbert's 'Ash' which I'm hoping will satisfy the eerie part of me
  4. I've just picked up James Herbert's Ash from my city library and was wondering if his horror writing is any good?? I cant really get into Stephen Kings work so I imagined James Herbert to be the next best thing, True or False???
  5. Jim Butchers Codex Alera series was my first and still is without doubt one of the best fantasy series I have ever read, it give me bloody goosebumps it was that good in parts.
  6. Hi Athena, Yes it probably is a strange name to over in the Netherlands, its a Scottish name as far as I am aware. Is Athena your real name?? If it is its a very cool name
  7. thank you for the reply, I'll keep everyone up to date on my latest reads.
  8. Hi There, I'm brand new to this forum and book forums in general, Im back reading steadily after a break of a few years. I went to the local library and picked up Ross Kemp's 'A-Z of Hell' which is a cracking read by the way, and also grabbed James Herbert's 'Ash' for a bit of chiller fiction. I dont have any particular genre to follow apart from staying away from teen/romantic novels that sort of stuff. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks Graeme
  9. Hi Everyone, My first post on here, I'm busy reading 'A-Z of Hell' by Ross Kemp which I'll probably finish today and then I've got James Herberts 'Ash' to chomp through.
